One of the focuses I have had, as den leader, is to have 'my' boys cross over into boy scouts with a solid theoretical and practical application of 1st Aid knowledge and techniques.

We have been very fortunate to have a hugely helpful local fire department whose personnel have worked with the boys since their Tiger year to help them learn and apply these skills.

​

In April we worked on the more advanced concepts of proper Heimlich application; burn care; and staunching blood flow (with tourniquets).
